I've always been passionate about design. When I worked as an engineer, I wanted to make sure I kept growing as a designer. So I started doing regular challenges to take my skills to the next level.
I use exercises like this to learn more about design, explore different ideas, and test my own limits.
Clarity Money is one of my favorite apps. I've always liked the visuals, but I've felt some of the UX choices could be better. I went through the app, tried to understand why they made some of those choices, and came up with a few suggestions of my own.
YUMYUM is a smart infrared thermometer that tells you when your pan is the perfect temperature for your food. I did the electronics and app concept, while my classmates Jimmie, Manu, and Tulsi handled the coding and industrial design.
The app takes you through each stage in the cooking process while giving you real-time temperature updates streamed from the device.
With more feedback, YUMYUM helps beginners develop a stronger intuition for the relationship between their food and the heat they apply to it.
